Privacy policy

Last updated:

This page explains what this site collects about you, why, who else handles it, and what you can ask me to do with it. It is written to meet Israeli privacy law, the European GDPR, and the privacy laws of the United States, including California.

Who is responsible

This site is run by Beeri Tzori, in Israel. I decide what is collected here and why, so I am the controller of your personal data. You can reach me at beeri@tzorigroup.com or through the contact form on the home page.

What I collect

  • Newsletter and book list. Your email address. The book forms also record which list you joined (early edition or waiting list), the language of the page, and where the visit came from, for example a link in a newsletter.
  • Contact form. Your name, your email address and your message.
  • The Intentional Index. Your guess and, only if you choose to give them, your country, your answer about the phone at home, and your email address. The form also records the language and address of the page, the site you came from, the campaign tags in the link (utm), a random visit number and your browser type.
  • Every visit. A measurement pixel from Metricool receives the page address, the site you came from and the size of your browser window. As with any website, the servers of Cloudflare, which hosts the site, and of Metricool also receive your IP address and browser type.

No law requires you to give me any of this. Without an email address I cannot send you the newsletter or reply to you. Everything else on the site works the same.

Why I use it, and on what legal basis

  • Newsletter and book news: to send them to you. The basis is your consent, given when you sign up. You can withdraw it at any time.
  • Contact: to answer you. The basis is your request and my legitimate interest in replying.
  • The Index: to count the answers. Answers are counted together and no single answer is ever published. If you leave an email address, I use it only to send you the results. The basis is your consent.
  • Measurement: to know how many people visit and where they come from, in totals only. The basis is my legitimate interest in running the site. No profile is built about you.

I do not sell, rent or trade your details. I do not share them for advertising. No decision about you is made automatically.

Cookies and your browser

This site sets no cookies, and the Metricool pixel sets none either.

The site does keep a few small notes in your browser. A random visit number and the source of the link you arrived from are kept in session storage, which is erased when you close the tab, so that a form you send later can tell where the visit started. After you join a book list, a note in local storage stops the site from asking you again. None of these identify you, and you can erase them in your browser settings at any time.

Who else handles it

Only these service providers, each working for me and only on my instructions:

  • Cloudflare (USA): hosts the site and receives the forms.
  • Google (USA): my email, and the spreadsheet where form answers are kept.
  • Resend (USA): sends me an email copy of each form.
  • MailerLite (Lithuania, EU): keeps the mailing lists and sends the newsletter.
  • Metricool (Spain, EU): counts visits.

I will also disclose information if the law requires it.

Transfers between countries

I work from Israel, which the European Commission recognises as giving adequate protection to personal data. Providers in the United States receive data under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or under the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses in their terms.

How long I keep it

  • Newsletter and book lists: until you unsubscribe or ask me to remove you.
  • Contact messages: up to two years after our last exchange.
  • The Index: your email address until the results are sent, and no longer than twelve months. The answers are kept without the email address, for the count.
  • Server records at Cloudflare and Metricool: according to their own policies.

Your rights

You can ask me to show you the data I hold about you, to correct it, delete it, limit its use or stop using it, and to give it to you in a portable form. You can withdraw consent at any time, and every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. Write to beeri@tzorigroup.com and I will answer within 30 days. Using these rights will never change how I treat you.

If you think I have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live. In the EU, that is the authority of your member state. In Israel, it is the Privacy Protection Authority.

California residents: you have the right to know what personal information I collect, use and disclose, to have it corrected and deleted, and not to be discriminated against for asking. I do not sell or share personal information, as those words are defined in California law.

Do Not Track

This site does not follow you across other sites, so it treats every visitor the same, whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.

Children

This site is not meant for children under 16, and I do not knowingly collect their details. If you think a child has sent me details, write to me and I will delete them.

Security

The whole site runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Only I have access to the forms and the lists, and each provider protects the data with its own security measures.

Changes

When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change matters, I will say so on this page and in the next newsletter.
